news on big-D

They've up-graded (or maybe down-graded?) Chris Duncan's condition from a bulging disc (a wait and see situation) to a herniated disc (a surgery situation). The way they're talking, he may not play again this season. I guess that's good news for guys like Mather and Stavinoha, but I'm not happy. Hopefully it's not as bad as all that and he'll be back before the end of the year, but if not, at least it's something they can fix.

UPDATE: Well, maybe not so much with the fixing. They are now saying that he will most likely be out the rest of the year, and this could even end his career in much the same way a similar injury/condition ended Larry Walker's career. He'll have surgery (tomorrow, I think) in which they'll insert a prosthetic disc in place of the herniated one in his cervical spine. It's the first time in professional sports that such a procedure will be done. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you, buddy.
